So a few weeks ago, I received a text from a very good friend of mine asking if I had seen all the beautiful storefront displays in Chelsea London.  Turns out all the stores around that area were participating in a competition to see who could put on the best display.  And it wasn’t only this year, this had been going on for the past 13 years!  How could I be so oblivious?!

Anyway, I received that text on the Friday.  I had heard about the Chelsea Flower Show here and there but I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I went on the website to check and found out that the very next day was going to be the LAST DAY that the displays would be up!  Oh my goodness, cue mad panic to find someone to come out with me to take photos!  Thankfully my friend and fellow blogger Sophie was available to come out with me.

The weather on Saturday was beautiful and we both felt so lucky that we had been able to make it out to London to get these photos that day.  Some of the stores were already dismantling and taking down their displays as we made our way round to all of them.  The storefront floral competition was different from the actual Chelsea Flower Show – I think you have to pay to go into the actual flower show.  But I was content just exploring all the beautiful shopfronts!

I would definitely recommend going on the first day, or as early as you can.  All the shopfront displays were real flowers so a lot of them had already wilted on the day we went as they’d been up for the past 7 days.

If you have hayfever, I would approach with caution!  Me and Sophie both don’t have hayfever but we found ourselves sneezing with an itchy nose and eyes due to all the crazy amounts of pollen floating around the streets!
